    Great cover, however if you are honestly interested in the real life of Jesus, I'd suggest you read the book in the link below;

    http://www.amazon.com/Jesus-Was-Caes...6287890&sr=1-3

    Here is a short summary of its content;

    http://www.carotta.de/subseite/texte/esumma.html

    And another link with some relevant information;

    http://www.jesusneverexisted.com/exist.html

    In short, what this book proposes is that the story of the life of caesar was changed over several hundreds of years (by mistranslation through several languages, and some other means), into the story of jesus christ.
    It should be noted that several other religious texts, such as those of the mithraic cult and the egyptian gods, where also incorporated before and after the death of caesar, these however are not mentioned in detail in this book as it only pertains to a comparison of the life story of caesar to that of jesus.

    "The only question that remained was whether the founders knew the final result of their creation, or if they themselves where the victims of a misunderstanding.
    In the latter case it was the duty of any thinking human, to press himself into the front of this depraved movement, to perhaps still prevent the extreme, in the former case the founders of this peoples disease must have been true devils; for only in the brain of a monster - not of a human - could the plan for an organisation take meaningfull form, whose purpose must lead toward the end result of a collapse of human culture and thus to the desolation of the world.
    In this case only battle remained as a means of final delivery, battle with any weapons that the human mind, intellect and will are able to comprehend, regardless, of whom fate would gift with it's blessing."

    They're serious about that, or is it some kind of joke?

    It ain't no joke, but I'm guessing that there is no room for investigation on your part, you seem to have made your mind up...
    Still, I'm going to advise you to read that book, just in case you are in any way interested in reality, and not some based on true facts but mistranslated fairytale.

    In some ways you're just like pingu (I think you know what I'm refering to), not a clue what you're talking about, but still you speak like you have a patent on the truth.

    Well with all due respect, you are the one that's judging others right now...
    Frankly, this theory is so unbelievable that most responses are like that of tone and mine...
    I mean the only thing Caesar and Jesus had in common (by my knowing) is that they were both worshiped as gods (gods son) after they had died... and Caesar killing over a million Gauls certainly doesn't help either

    And also saying that their theory is reality is a pretty dumb thing to say... Simply because you chose your kind of truth, doesn't mean that it is actually true and also saying that the commonly accepted theories (because nothing is 100% true) are fairytales is exaggerated at least...

    I'll give one more reply.

    I read the various sites that you provided links to some time ago, and, to be honest, I wasn't convinced and am still not. There are loads of misquotes and assumptions for starters.

    I guess for me the reality is a life lived in relationship with God, based on some sound historical evidence and the testimonies of those I know whose lives have been transformed by the truth.

    Hey Swhunter the book looks great! i've been interested in religion since i was a child, I always thought they were a very strange and curious aspect of human culture, and intellect. Speaking of Jesus, from what I've readed, the most logical is that he never really existed, he was a just a christian copy of all the previous messiah of other religions all over the world, but I haven't enough information to be sure, so its always great to discuss, and read books from people with other points of view, they may teach you something. I have no problem in reading religious or anti-religious books, if they have something to say, i've readed the bible/coran and other holybooks. But I have a question about your book, you said you are a historycal lover, and you talk also about the bible and jesus life, is this a book were you try to find what is true of jesus, or more like your interpretation of jesus life in the bible?
    I would look for the book in my library if it gets to spain, and i will give it a read for sure.

    I am sorry if this information stretches your connection with 'god' ever so slightly, that was not my intention in any way, I too feel the presence of a higher power, and I feel the love that William refers to.
    I just don't think that humans could ever know the will of 'god', 'god' is the sum of all, no man can comprehend all...
    How could infinity have come to be, not in any way that humans could begin to comprehend at least...
    And that is exactly why I bring up this evidence, worldly matters have nothing to do with 'god', for they can be understood, history can be understood, but not the reason for existence.
    Be it as it may, I know that I have totally destroyed the credibility of my previous posts talking about all this, no matter, I do not presume to tell the truth, the truth tells me.
    I apologise if I intruded into your path, it is not for me to dictate, but for you to explore.

    All the best,
    Joschka.

    Don't worry you haven't... after all everyone is entitled to their opinion and their belief.
    We all reacted to each others points of view and with religion (and history) involved it led where it did Hey this is a forum full of history lovers - everything shall be put to question

    I apologize to you aswell on behalf of my reaction... no hard feeling, eh?

    So let's just wait for this awesome mod that's coming out
