Demo?

It's roughly one week to go. Will there be a demo?

They're either proud of their work and confident the biggest concerns about BAI and CAI have been addressed....or they are not.

Well it can be one of two things.


1. The are working so hard on the game, they have not had the time to produce a demo


2. The game is so bad releasing a demo will kill sales.

That's easy. Im goin to do what most people here are doing. Waiting for release and seeing real players reviews on this forum.


Because last time the demo sold me. Not going to make that mistake twice .

Same here.

Like some on here, I am hoping against hope that NTW will somehow be a great game with a greatly improved BAI. I got hoodwinked with the ETW demo last time and will only be impressed by long standing members of the community reviews AFTER the game is released. I've seen how CA can influence individual members (Lusted) so even Darth's opinion isn't going to sway me alone. Even with all that, it will be a hard sell for me personally as I don't see a lot of replayability with NTW without decent mods.

There is a store in the touristy town of Fredricksburg, Texas, about 50 miles SW of Austin. The store sells hundreds of different types of salsas, dips, etc. Every flavor you could possibly imagine. In front of each item is a bowl with a sample of that particular sauce, and some chips to dip in it.

You feel so guilty after sampling all that stuff for awhile you feel like you have to buy something.

ahhhh...i envy you

Demos released AFTER a game are usually to win over people who aren't sure of it and/or drag in more customers that otherwise wouldn't buy it

I'm not that fussed, though it would be nice to know what I'm getting myself into

However, I shall be one of the preorder Forlorn Hope members who will give the initial review

CA is so confident in this game it will need no demo as word of mouth advertising is all that's needed.

No, it's more like that they want to divert all resources on the game rather than a stupid demo.

Actually, I've noticed in recent years that most higher end games are released withot demos, so I really don't take it as a 'warning' on the quality of the game.

Most of these are CoD style, whose average players vocab amounts to "ROFLS!" and "NOOB!" and who fail to see any flaws in the games they play whatsoever...

@Turbo: "I am hoping against hope" You're hoping that NTW will become a fiasco?, that's rather self-centered.

Well, CA has stated that their reasons for not releasing a pre-release demo is so that they can focus their efforts on tweaking/balancing/getting rids of glitches & bugs in the game before the launch date. We'll just have to hold them to their word, and observe what happens.

wouldn't the demo be scripted anyway??
