Troop organization.

Thread: Troop organization.

    Default Troop organization.

    So if there is 90 men in 1 unit of infantry (Basic line infantry) what would that translate into via companies, platoons, battalions, regiments, etc?

    So 20 of basic infantry = 1800 soldiers. That would be the equivalent to regiment. If you where to get technical, you'd need about 5 NTW armies to equal what they really would of been in real times.

    Is there even a good organization feature to manage all the troops. Napoleon used divisions, regiments and corps efficiently so not to be confusing.

    on huge scale:

    line infantry, foot guards, militia and the like = 160 men = regiment in terms of TW

    grenadiers, light infantry = 120 men = batallion

    sharpshooters, jaegers, riflemen = 80 men = battalion or several companies

    Cavalry = 60 (80 for several units) men = squadron

    artillery = 24 men / 4 guns = battery

    grenadiers have the same numbers as lights
    but theyll have the same as line in NTW from what weve seen
