What do you think of kuloglus?

Kuloglus are an elite units of the east unit that can dismount and has 35 range. Their description says they have short shotgun type weapons that look a lot like a blunderbuss. From testing they do indeed sometimes kill more than one man with a single soldiers shot, but their extremely short range and the fact only the front rank fires makes them more than a bit impotent.

I think this unit needs to have rank fire to be useful because as it is, destructive weapons or not they are rather useless.

What do you think? I'm going to try flanking with them in mp later. Maybe a single volley and them a melee charge.

If they can melee very well, they can act as grenadiers, 'cause grenadiers have special not-so-long-range-weapons-and-very-good-melee-fighting-skills.

It basically means that6 grenadiers will throw 1 volley and if there is no time for another volley, they charge 'cause their melee is only matched by the guards

these things are fun they are pretty good in melee and own at close range 30+ causalities in one volley just from front rank fire!

Blunderbusses, or dragons, where the weapon of choice for dragoons at the time, whose name actually derive from the use of these weapons. Of due course, the most logical improvement would be to enable the Kuloglus to fire from horseback. Just imagine the moral effect of such a volley prior to a charge
