SQPR aims for realism, RS aims for more realism than vanilla, but keeps the fun. I haven't played SPQR in a while, but RS2 is definitely going to be a huge win with the revamped engine and graphics. The battles in SQPR seem to drag out forever with the large army sizes and unit stats. RS is faster paced and more fun than vanilla. In the end, RS wins in my book.

They're all a blur to me now. I played them all years ago and have stuck with RS. I lazily follow the other mods, but they are not installed.

    Roma Surrectum!
when the union's inspiration through the worker's blood shall run,
there can be no power greater anywhere beneath the sun,
yet what force on earth is weaker than the feeble strength of one?
but the union makes us strong.
