When you listen to music do you get a high? Do you go into a trance? If so what music does this for you? I tend to see colours when I listen to music and completely let go and relax.

I was going to say that exact same Radiohead song. They are mind blowing at times, that and Bodysnatchers i was about to mention ha. Late of the Pier as well is another band which sprung to mind.
Don't you want me to wake up?
Then give me just a bit of your time.
Arguments are made for make ups,So give it just a little more time.
Lots of different music does it for me, and it also depends on my mood at the time. Usually I listen to that music till I am sick of it and then don't listen to it again till much later. Then the process repeats![]()
Fleet Foxes put me in that place anytime, anywhere.
"All there is to perceive is what I want. And I know how to get it." -Bad Brains
"I want to live my life"-The Ramones
"Come down from the mountain, you have been gone too long"-Fleet Foxes
"Yeah, you already know how this will end."-Devotchka
"The world is such a wonderful place"- Band of Horses
I'm too temperamental, especially for Radiohead...but something truly aesthetic does make me very calm, relaxed and contemplative.
I need lyrics, I find too much instrumental to be meandering and self indulgent, so I get irritated.
"...I'll look for something else. We're surrounded by water. Why are we eating knob?"
Nothing quite like some desert sessions to weird me out.
Throw in some Aes Dana, Vibrasphere, Solar Fields, and Aural Floats for some good measure.

Carbon Based Lifeforms are very cool, I've never heard them before, but I'll definitely check them out.
Something kinda similar
They're definitely worth it. I bought both their albums after a couple of listens since they're mainly atmospheric and are pretty good for relaxing/creating moods. Walkin' with Jesus was interesting, Astral Projection does sound like a few songs by Vibrasphere and Aes Dana.
Another song similar, but a little more refined than the ambient trance groups :
Do people see colours when they listen to music? All the above areing amazing for me in terms of that, whenever I close my eyes.
Well I haven't been high on music (or anything else for that matter) nor have I seen colors from listening to it. However, some songs kinda makes me just sit and listen and may suddenly end without me noticing it or thinking of it, even if I listened closely. Like this one:
From 4:37 onwards I can easily be lost in thoughts while listening. It's such a brilliant song, but the end is very abrupt!
I can get high of pretty much any type of music. But it's esiest while listening to stuff with many different instruments playing at the same time. Or stuff with lyrics that make images pop up in my head that fits with the style and melody of the song.
I made a lot of music for RS II, and that is very awesome because RS II is a very awesome mod!
I regularly feel a 'high' when listening to Nine Inch Nails. The album Still for instance gives me a case of the chills every time I listen to it. Songs like 'The Day the World went Away' and 'And All That Could Have Been' never fail to make the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end and send a tingle down my spine.
I got a 'high' when I first heard Maggot Brain, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Movement VIII from Vangelis' El Greco, and Like Spinning Plates, among other songs/pieces and albums.
I find the effect lessens each time I listen to the same thing. Though that doesn't mean I enjoy it less, just in a different way.
To get high on music I listen to Steve O
Yeah umm...listen only if you're mature enough, please it's just a song

Analysis should not be diverted by reflections upon the zeal with which the victors at the end of the Second World War punished the defeated for war crimes. The victors were animated by the ideals of the Atlantic Charter and of the United Nations. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was about to peep over the eastern horizon. But first, they wanted a little hanging.
trance/techno

Radiohead's "All I Need" is mine I reckon, along with Muse's "Hyper Chondriac Music". Both really slow tempo songs that get me every time.
