please help gateway P7805 user

I have exhausted everything to get this thing to work, i felt that i gotten rip off by the company for selling a game that is so buggy, however i will continue to wait for patches, in the mean time did anyone with a gateway P7805 that have an Nvida 9800GTS get the game to work? if so what drivers are you using, i am using WIN 7 which some of the old drivers doesnt work, does anyone have a driver to recommend me?? thanks

The minimum requirements are a 2.4 Ghz cpu, and you have a 2.26. Nothing you can do unless talk to gateway about upgrading the cpu

i upgraded my cpu to 2.8

Then go to that link I posted, download a new driver, then do the following.

1. download driver sweeper and install

2. remove your current video drivers and restart.

3. Restart again in safemode. (pick the plain safemode option)

4. run driver sweeper and check "nvidia-display", then click "clean"

5. restart

6.install new drivers, restart again

7.If you're still having problems, we need specifics

i know how to install a driver the problem is i dont know which driver will work for empire total war and also compatible with window 7

32bit 182 or maybe 191.

64bit, get the 196.

there is currently no 196 drivers for laptop

BTW, what is it exactly that the game is doing to you? What driver did you have before/have now?

Go to the Nvidia sticky thread they have a fairly good understanding of drivers
