i just installed RS 1.6 and the patch, and i tried to start both an imperial and a provincial campaign. both times it said you must select an item on the list . then, when i exited, it said there was an error with imperial campaign desc strat... expected start of campaign. any ideas? thx.

Yup...you installed it in the wrong place.

Are you sure? The select an item from the list generally means the game was not fully patched to RTW v1.5 or BI v1.6(whatever exe is used to play this).

ok thanks. i just thought since i installed BI that it would have automatically patched vanilla. thanks for the quick reply

It does automatically patch vanilla RTW, but the result depends on what version your BI is. If it`s v1.4(and not 1.6) and RTW is v1.5 installing BI will actually downgrade rtw to v1.3. Start the game and go to the options menu. In the upper right corner of the screen you`ll see the version of your game.

Mate make sure you follow the instructions to the T. I have helped about 10 people on this forum with their RS installation, talking it over step by step over Skype and it is always just down to details. If you are still having problems after you have done it all by the book then PM me and I will help you out. Hope you have Skype, if you dont then get one!
