    Default Where too next?

So Im Prussia(Medium, Medium difficulty) on turn about 36ish, I have taken denmark, and of Poland besides the very bottom territory of theirs, and the territory of Austria's right below berlin. Right now, I'm at peace with Austria(for the moment, im thinking they will attack) allies with Sweden(I don't plan on attacking them) and Russia is about a turn away from one of my cities.

My question is, should I go after Austria or Russia(I'll have some help from Sweden with Russia)?

oh and I have one navy of like a couple 5th rate ships of the line and a 6th rate and a 5th rate admirals ship, if that has anything to do with anything.

Please comment, im relativly new to the game

Austria; their land is more developed and wealthier at the beginning compared to Russia. Plus, Russian territories are so large in area that you'll spread yourself out too far and too thin just to have a rebellion in Muscovy destroy your efforts. I would say Russia should come last especially since Austria's line infantry is the weakest out of the two when compared to Prussia's.

Well if they continually attack the same city, personally I would just garrison the city and battle the Russians each time they approached it. That way it will keep them occupied while you take on Austria and will increasing your units' experience points in the process. I have never found them to put up a good fight or their better units. They can put up some large stacks with crappy units (like the Ottomans). Prussian Line Infantry beats them on Accuracy, Melee Defense, and Morale. Which city exactly are they a turn away from attacking?

go with austria. like mentioned, the austrian lands are more developed, and will yield a better income.

russia only really has one or 2 good (decent) provinces, but rebellions, and the inevitable army that will sack each city nearby, will really cause you too many headaches to deal with for the gain.

go in war with Austria (they have better developed land) and if russia attacks just keep winning their attacks till they dont come again (or with little armies)

Austria, most definitely. They are a rotten, tottering empire. Ready for you to come in and establish der Grosse Deutches Reich! Finish them off, consolidate, then snatch up those independent German states that have eluded you. I say stay away from the Russians for now, unless you can get them into a destructive war with the Ottomans and then start taking their lands. Remember: German troops don't fare so well in Russian territory.
