    Default Missing Units with TO.

    At the first: Sorry for my english.

    I playing a grand campaing with TO and after the constrution of Amoury in Marenburg the Dismounted Ritterbruders disapper, I can't recruit that guys anymore. The Armoured allow you to recruit 3 Halbbruders at max.
    In some file i know that i can edit this and put the Ritterbruders there.

    If someone here know how to fix tell me, and dont build Armoury in Castles for a while.

    PS: The ideia was put a image here to make more easy to see what happening in my game, but with print screen i got a black image. i dont like windows 7 anyway.

    Its not a bug its how the recruitment was intended to be so that as you developed and moved ahead in technology that older units would no longer be able to be recruited.

    But do as you wish you can add units in the export_descr_building file located in your data file just find the entry for the nit you want and copy and paste it into the building section you want to be able to recruit these units from .

    but Ritterbrudders is better than Halbbrudrers...
    I dont see why remove this units...

    I do that but my game start to crash when i loading my save game... = /
    I will finish my campaing first until start change anything... but I wont build armory anymore... i cant fight the danes without Ritterbruders hahahah...

    Actually even though the stats are a little down on the halberd vs the rittbruder the fact of the long weapon which allows the second row to attack at the same time as the front row(which basicly means when organised have twice as many attacks as rittbruder) plus the far greater effect it has on cav units i would put more value in the halberd men not as cool granted but in real strategy wise actually more effective than rittbruder.

    Plus as i say it is ment in the recruitment system to slowly fade out the early age men as you head to the gunpowder era which by that time knights like rittbruder where gone why because they had little to no uses in wars by then (sure there where a few knights left but not dominant like they had been in the early ages.

    Guess what was used when it wasnt a gunner you guessed it pikes and halberds where main stay units

    hummm... interesting. I never put the hallbruders against cav, the order sperman make a gret job with they.
    I will test this guys and see what happening. My arms are basically formed with a general, 2 ritterbruder, 6 dismonted ritterbruder, 4 hallbrudder, 3 order sperman, 2 crossbows and 2 trebuchet (than i change to the cannons). I will try something new now. = ]

    That sistem it's absolutely NOT right for factions as Teutonic Order and East Roman Empire, the late armoury that allow you onli late troops clearly advantage factions as france/england/spain that have great late troops, but TO for example (i'm playing a beautifull TO campaign and just got to 1300) is an early faction...which late units has got ?? Halberd,Pikes and ridicoulous Handguns compared to other factions archibusers/musketters?? same for east roman empire...this is why i built the last levels of barracks and stables onli in 1 citadel..just to do it..and leaved all others with early era troops...TO needs those troops to play it well...Ritterbruder,Order spearmen,prussian archers,heavy cavalry christ knights/halbruder/ritterbruder..ecc...how could you play without those guys??

    Hmm lets think about this it favours these factions yeah perhaps it does but lets see how history favours these factions hmm byzantium (eastern roman empire) hmmm did they do well in the late period well no no they didnt infact they went under falling to history hmmm.

    The teutonics hmmm how did they do in the late period oh thats right they went down to .

    These factions are still very playable in late era but they dont have the same advantage they have in early period. Sorry i find your very short sighted observations well a joke really hey if i was a fan of france i could get equally upset and say hmm frances early roster is really poor compared to teutonics and it is in unit vs unit strength frances early infantry is weak thats historical and adds to the flavour of the game but in turn they gain a later game advantage in units .

    Try think about game balance and even history befiore you make such bold statements based on nothing more than you liking a faction and playing a campaign with them . some have early adavantages strengths some have later strengths its what makes factions different and play out different in the hands of Ai or player through the periods

    You are ofcourse welcome to modify the game as you wish to play but lets not start screaming its wrong because its not how you want to play that why people mod games to suit them , but history disagrees with you .
