Mindless violence in a kick ass setting. The homos and chicks on their periods will hate it, everyone else (normal people) will like it.![]()
Looks good! Hasn't really been a good Roman times movie since Gladiator, so I'm actually quite excited! The beginning looks more like Teutoberg than Roman Britain though.
looks badass

Given that the film is about the 9th legion, I'd have liked to see something more akin to the novel "The Eagle of the Ninth". I loved that book. Neil Marshall directing, hmm, Dog Soldiers was "win", The Descent was "okay", Doomsday was "fail". Wonder how this turns out? At least it has Olga Kurylenko, and Michael Fassbender, wish his character hadn't been killed off so quickly in "Inglorious Basterds"
EDIT I don't effing believe it! Turns out that there IS going to be a movie "The Eagle of the Ninth" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1034389/
The Hollywood "two films about the same subject" phenomenon strikes again!![]()

I really like that Olga Kurylenko, she was excellent in Hitman and the newest james bond movie.
mildly confused about the spears the legionnaires are carrying, arent they supposed to be the standard throwing Pilum?
it looks good, but it looks like most of the movie will be about those 7 escaping from the barbarians, i want to see a movie like the first battle in gladiator, except the whole movie like that, it feels so epic! oh well, maybe "The Eagle of the Ninth" will have more epic and large scale battles
As Charles Barkley would say, this movie looks "trrrrrrrrrible".

Did you hear Legate Ackbar too saying: "It's a trap!"?
Anyway, looks nice.
