Not a hate thread, I just wanted to know who has decided that, for whatever reason (financial, lack of interest, let down by Empire, etc.) they are definitely not going to buy Napoléon - certainly in the near future, anyway.

1. I am saving up to get a better computer
2. I want to check out other peoples opinions
3. i want to wait and see how modding takes place in NTW (probably wait a year)
4. I was let down by ETW, for sure, however, I have enjoyed TW games for over a decade now since STW. Every company makes mistakes, and the first reviews of NTW have been satisfactory.

don't get me wrong, i think its going to be a great game, but i have a feeling that it will become repetitive too soon and therefore maybe 1-2 months playing until i get bored of the same happening. I will buy the game, just not now.

I just decided to get Aliens vs Predator instead of NTW, don't have enough money for both so I chose what I thought would be the better game
Both are publised by SEGA, so they'll be getting my money one way or the other I guess

I have not pre-ordered, because last time steam servers were really slow and no pre load of the game was available. I am not trying to kid myself here, i am gonna buy it but im just holding on for a proper review, or a demo.

No. I'll not buy even with glowing reviews months after release.
I feel shabbily treated and lied to by CA and have no wish to send them more money unless they made a serious effort to fix ETW. Or perhaps giving me a hefty discount containing an acknowledgement along the lines of "we are sorry we screwed you over".To Subaltern: Yes, every junior officer may carry a Field Marshal's baton in his knapsack, but we think you'll discard that to make room for an extra pair of socks before very long.

not buying,no point.steam does not work because of poor internet so couldnt play empire and wont be playing this because i havent the choice of a steam free version of the game. thanks,ca.

Silent Hunter 5 is released at the same time , I'm buyin' that instead.
Both games are going in a bad direction for the serious gamer - towards satisfying the casual gamer - but SH5 seems like more of a full game, not so much like an add-on as Nap. -

Not buying, not after ETW and, specifically, CA's misdirection and denial.
As for SH5, I won't buy that, either, despite having played pretty much every sub sim released to date. Reason: Ubi is introducing an appalling system that requires you to maintain an internet connection 100% of the time you're playing. It doesn't even have an off-line mode as Steam does. If you want a laugh, go to YouTube and look at "Das DRM" (3 episodes). -

i will wait for excellent reviews from here, if it smells like just a mod of ETW which it seems like than i will skip it.

I've heard little but bad things about ETW, and I've heard NTW won't be so hot either.

I'm not an idiot; E:TW was a complete disaster the first six months or so and if a company was willing to do that and screw over so many paying customers like that, well, no, I'm not going to buy it until it's in the discount-bin.
