    Default Download and Install...Help

    It seems this topic has been covered many times, but I still can't find an answer on how to play this mod.

    Here is what I have done so far;

    Installed MTWII (fresh install)
    patched versions 1.2 and 1.3
    unpacked all files

    downloaded version 2.4 of TLR
    extracted it to MTWII
    which I now have this: c:/program files (x86)/sega/medieval II total war/the long road

    now from this, how do I play this mod?

    hit the .bat file in the M2TW folder for TLR...
    I recommend downloading 2.0 TLR and instaling that first before 2.4 and then patching 2.4 with 2.4.1. That will place you where I am in the game and able to play. If you get a recurring CTD...hit escape when the rebel turn comes up and hold it until the your next turn comes up.

    thanks, I'll try that. But I see no batch file anywhere in the MTWII folder. the only executable files are launcher.exe and medieval2.exe

    Getting a recurant, unavoidable crash to desktop which is destroying the game. Here's the situation. I've installed a clean copy of mtw2 complete with 1.2 and 1.3 patches. Installed TLR 2.0, 2.4 and the 2.4.1 patch.

    I'm getting the CTD each parse on the independants turn. I've tried the suggestions offered here, both in this thread and elsewhere on the board, ie' saving durring the independants turn and holding esc continuously until my turn. I got one working parse out of method one but when it crashed again the following parse neither that nor method 2 could save the game, so it's currently unplayable.

    I'm playing as the Danish and even though I besieged an independant town on the first turn it wasn't until the 3rd or 4th turn that I started getting the CTD. After that I got one more turn by saving mid-parse then dead.

    I've been looking around the tlr threads on this board for a couple of hours and I can't find a solution to ths problem, does anyone have any suggestions?
