Fonts are set by the game maker. You cannot change them.

    You can change your resolution.
    You can try Windowed Mode.
    You can try older drivers.
You can try using Shader 2 instead of shader 3.
You can ask the tech moderators at www.totalwarforums.com.

Extra Information, should of really said this in the first place, When empires first boots up the initial 30-50 minutes of game play displays the text perfectly, however onwards more and more parts of the text become bugged till the point around 2 hours of gameplay all of the text is unreadable.

@blonkers1234, now trying it, fingers crossed
@Road Kill, I'm using a ATI card and its up to date driver wise
@Aussie, ATI Radeon 4530 laptop version
@irishron, Windowed Mode and different resolutions make no difference, haven't tried older drivers or lower shader types, shall do though.

If it's prefect, then downhill as you play, it's graphics degradation. Things that can help that happen are heat, shared memory, not enough ram, ?.

Can you disable the shared memory in your BIOS? That way the cpu and gpu aren't trying to use it at the same time.

Do you expirence another issues such as white spots, suddenly appears and disappears, and some other strange things? if those are indeed happening is heat issues, since you're in a laptop, you are in for a threat on heat! (I also run my ETW on a laptop, with the heat in Brazil, it never gets bellow 50C)

I don't have a clue where to start to disable the shared memory on BIOS, and to MRMM I live in the UK & at the moment its snowing, so I don't think I have heat problems.

Verifying the steam cache files made no difference, using different shader models made no difference either, putting all settings on low made no difference, im actually starting to really hate Empire .

Have you tried 1280 x 1024 resolution? They say that's what the fonts were made for.

Then you're out of luck. Take it up with Sega support.
