CTD'S while loading battles.

Ok this is really weird, and i don't understand why but when i try fighting certain rebel armies, or when i get to a certain province, i dont know what it is, It crashes. And I do have show_err on, but I run vista, and all it says is "Windows has encountered a problem with this program and needs to close" or something like that. It's only when I battle certain Armies, It happened when I was playing Bosporan, and when i was trying to take the settlement above Neapolis_Scythia. Wouldn't let me Seige it without crashing, or fight a regular battle. It also happened in my Greek Campaign in Salona.

Its a problem with the new terrain, switch to the old terrain to fight on those maps and you'll be fine.

and how do you switch to the old terrain?

Look in the data folder, there's a descr_geography.db file and a descr_geography.db.RTW. Change the name of the first file to something (like add .RS to the end) and remove the .RTW from the second file and reload the game. Reverse this process to re-enable the new terrain.

Um I think I found my problem i only have this descr_geography.db.RTW. I have one that says just descr_geography but no db at the end.

Yes, you still have it, in windows explorer click tools (or alt+t) -> options and uncheck the option that says hide extensions of known file types.
