I meant having Bithynia as a faction with Greek and Thracian units and from that date onward to be able to recruit Celtic units as well... but your idea of Galatian hordes sounds better nonetheless...

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

I think I understand your system!

you will include four rebbel factions of which represented with blue are the Galatians that will have settlements in areas were Celts migrated: the northern parts of Iberian, Italian and Balkan peninsulas! very smart thinking! with more rebbel states it will be more chalenging and more realistic! good plan! was I right?

    Well, sort of.

At the time there wasnt anyone really occupying those regions. There was the Germans to the far north, but they didnt do much for a while. Dont let your hopes get sqaushed though, your onto something.

    No promises though

you mean Tylis? isn't Bithynia a better solution to include the Galatians from 214 BC and beyond?
Bithynia was never Celtic. The indigenous Bithynian princes secured their independence from Hellenistic overlords in the 290s, and by 280 BC were members of the anti-Seleucid 'Northern Alliance' that included Herakleia Pontike, Pontus, Sinope - and a horde of Celtic mercenaries known to history as the Galatians!

Of course, the Galatians settled in Phrygia - not Bithynia!

yes I know... I did some research! Thank you! Things are clear for me now

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Nicomedes I offered the Galatians that besieged Byzantium in 277 BC the means to cross the Bosporus. He also founded Nicomedia. The Galatians at first fought for Nicomedes I against Zipoates and Antiochus but then revolted and provided their services to the highest bidder. One of the succesors of Nicomedes I, Prusias I fought against Byzantium, the revolting Galatians, Pergamum and Heraclea Pontica.

Prusias granted sanctuary for Hannibal Barca that fought against the Attalids for him. Bithynia grew stronger and stronger! Nicomedia came to be one of the righest cities in Anatolia! It had a strategic position and a flourishing economy.

They were? I was under the impression that they attacked everyone and varied in their alliances (like Pergamon). Btw, it is likely that despite the lacking of other powers in Asia Minor who were actually there (Galatians, Seleukids, Pontos and maybe even the Ptolemies) will be represents... if we have the unit space and time

    Lol, oops!

    Well...this is awkward.

    For Rome and for Freedom!

(its all I could think of )

In anycase, for the observers of this post, I guess its no great secret that a preview is currently being made, and it shouldnt be too long before you see it.

As Duke mentioned - the preview is not yet ready for public consumption. Mainly due to some unit revisions, as well as some real life commitments that have left some of us little time for RTR......anyway stay tuned the next preview shouldn't be too far around the corner.
