    Something that makes my battles feel a little off sometimes is the charge and subsequent clash of two units.

    Say a unit of Ogres crash into a unit of Goblings. You'd expect them to steamroll the goblins, smash into their formation and roll right through. However, the Ogres being infantry, they stop at the front line of Goblins.

    How can I give them the ability to charge like cavalry and penetrate formations?

    A unit of zombies charge. A few Zombies spring forward to engage, while the rest are left behind. This goes for other units as well. How can I make the units charge like a single mass of soldiers, like in Third Age for example?

    I'm not sure how to get the enitre formation to charge, but if you want infantry to penetrate other infantry lines, just change the number in red (below) to a higher number, like 3.
