Default Some feedback from HRE early campaign

First, I won a crusade at Antioch in turn 30. Crusade states died earlier so I give Antioch to pope. If is far, than better. I cannot avoid excomm at 1 point, but slowly I was reconcilieted. Funny in 1190 papacy become vassal to fatmids, probably war in Asia is to hard for holy man. No crusade there, and I supose no more wars with Egypt.
Second thing I saw, I lost Groningen to english. They got half of stack of militia, round shield and norman ones, some archer militia, cavalry militia and other uninteresting stuff. I have it low garison, thats ok, but I saw hobilars and cavalry militia killing my general and ritenbrunder in close combat melee. Thats wierd at least. General was fine, chilvarious and no need to say we fight in central square. To see rittenbrunders killed by cavalry militia piss me. Was melee, not even charge.
Game is early campaign, HRE, year is 1214. So have anyone saw this?

That's pretty confusing. Are you playing 6.1 or 6.2? And any sub mods?

RR of Point Blank. Like I said, in center square my general and rittebrundder was killed by hobilars and cavalry militia of english. And that is just wierd. No need to say how stats differ.

    A few points:

First of all, fatigue can play a big factor. Very tired/exhausted units greatly lose their fighting abilities.
Secondly, keep in mind that cavalry only can attack to their sides, not to their front or back. Depending on placement, it's possible that the enemy cavalry was repeatly striking at yours, while yours were trying to move into an attack position. I've seen a single enemy general cut down most of my own generals bodyguards, simply because they failed to properly move into a position where they could strike back.

Agree with that. But some things work bad there and seen a poor militia cavalry killing my teuton machines of war annoy me a lot. No need to say these superb religious knights make it my empire bigger. I watched closely, 32 english cavalry militia versus my 32 rittenbrunder. Imagine how stunned to see my knights killed like flys, lost 20 mans in 20 seconds. My general died even worse versus 20 hobilars, again in melee. Teutons charged 2 times some english militia before, no knight lost. Both units, bodyguards and rittenbrunder was with bronze shield, so not bad at all. General, chilvarious with lot of bodyguards. Maybe fatigue was bad that battle. Probably. No need to say I send to take back the city from Hamburg, 2 rittenbrunder, 2 feudal knights and 1 mailed. For the HRE Groningen was not a great city, not big income, just a strategic key for north border. But that battle was, dunno, frustating.
