You Got Boobs, Why Not Blood?

CA, you have a "Sexual Themes" rating on your upcoming release of NTW, due to the fact there are visible breasts on the flag of Ireland, and yet you won't honor us brutes with some blood here and there? We're not asking for limbs and guts here, just some blood splatters, some dirtied shirts, and possibly pools.

I mean why not? With "Sexual Themes" already on your ratings, I don't think "Blood" is the biggest thing on a parent's mind of why not to buy it for her 11 year old child.

What's the big deal? There'll always be bloody mods and they'll probably be better made than if CA had done it lol

Well I'm just saying, if CA has their own blood, that works for the vanilla guys. It also provides a bit of a base for which modders to base their own improved blood mods. And no offense to modders, but of all ETW's blood mods all I saw was the occasional spray. Nothing like in Med II where a unit's nice clean uniforms would look blood-soaked and dirty after a long day's battle.

Is that what it is?

MTW2 had sexual themes and blood.

Is that really why NTW is rated for sexual themes? That`s ridiculous if that`s the case. No, not ridiculous- IDIOTIC! It would make more sense if it was for the abundant grass and flowers in the fields that men fight in!

It's sort of backwards. Usually things like blood tend to be used more in games than sex.

Blood on a scale such as NTW with its graphics and such make rendering even a bigger issue.

Its a retexture for Empire. The "Sexual Themes" rating (that has been attached since at least Rome, if I'm not mistaken) has to do with traits, not in-game graphics. Lesbian princesses, homosexual praetors, perverted loonies of Kings and Queens, etc. etc.

Ah, that makes a lot more sense. Still seems incredibly churlish imho, at least in Britain.

i think they dont have blood because some country (Germany form memory) doesnt allow blood in games or something

as a result they dont put in blood and get the sales in that country

anyway, who gives a ? theres gonna be a mod soon enough

It is silly and childish - not that CA has "Sexual Themes" on the box, but the fact that they have to in order to sell here. It's an American thing (so far as I can tell), this ultra-prudishness.

Thus the toggle was invented and everybody was awarded the potential for happiness. To be quite frank though, there is hardly a need for such a toggle in terms of system difficulty; smoke is a much more demanding entity and has been ramped up in N:TW severely and in conjunction with equally demanding weather effects.

As far as performance goes, performance in the NTW engine is much better, since CA is doing much, much more with basically the same system requirements.
