    Default Is CA in any way working to fix the MP campaign beta?

    It's beyond me how a company keeps releasing things that simply just DON'T WORK. If anyone who created the MP campaign even bothered to test it they would see it in 10-15 turns that it simply ALWAYS desyncs. Is there anyone trying to fix it or do something about this. If I heard correctly the multiplayer campaign beta was to test so the napoleon one would work, i'll be damned if I buy NTW with a MP campaign that does not work at all. It just seems to me these people create something then don't even take 10 minutes to test to see if it actually works. I've extensively tested this and it's just a constant headache having to send save files everytime it desyncs. I haven't seen one update for it since it came out. Granted it's a beta, but it's a beta you can't even test because it doesn't even run in the first place!

    no, they have no plans to fix it and they never did, which is why this whole "it's a beta" is . a beta by defintion is a prototype for testing where later upgrades to the software are planned. what we have now is actually the final version, the broken POS final version. and i agree, it is mind boggeling that they continually release things that just don't work. mind boggling i tell you. somehow when they made that thread about sign-ups a few months back I KNEW THERE WOULD BE A CATCH, there always is with CA... and it turns out the catch is that the MPC DOESN"T WORK.

    What really pisses me off is that in NTW publicity they state that the feedback from players regarding this crappy MPC beta is awesome.

    I keep looking for an alternate MP strategy game that suits me and my mate. Just two requisites: it's got to be fun, it's got to work. I'm sooo demanding...

    I have played 40 turns fine so far. Sure, there were a few desynchs, but nothing what would not get fixed by a copied savegame for the client.

    EVERY mp campaign can be played up until 1799. There is no way for a simple desynch to stop your campaign if you know what you're doing

    Regarding those that have so many problems,.. these people really seem to be the minority. I have been in that skin too before. It's the same on every forum, in almost every game, on every fanpage. But instead of swearing and shouting towards CA how bad they would have made this beta, you should search for solutions to the problems.

    For example, you might want to copy your mp savegames every 10 turns, zip them and send them from the host to the client, replacing his own saves. That way you make sure that the campaigns don't desynchronise, neither obviously nor covertly. If it has desynched, you can still do this - and then - play on.

    It's not a minority issue, i've tested it on 2 different computers, on the same internet connection in the same house, and on the internet with friends there. The desync always happens, and even worse if your in a big battle that lasts longer than 30 minutes it tends to desync the campaign forcing you to fallback to a previous save which means you lost all progress in your campaign. Sending the save battle will work for small battles that desync, but when it desyncs in a huge game deciding battle it ruins the game. There's a reason barely anyone plays the multiplayer campaign, it's because it's broken. If I wanted to auto-balance every battle for the MPC to work i'd just go play risk online.
