I am playing as the Numidians and I have conqured all of North Africa, Egypt, and 3 settle meants in Spain, the west half of Turkey, and a third of Scillily. But I am having a lot of troble getting my econmy going, despite all of my conquest I keep lossing money. I would cut back on the size of my army but I am also having trouble in keeping order in many of my cities because no matter were my capital is, it is still very far from at least half of my empire. I was thinking about giving my rioting Spanish settle meants to the British in exchange for a ceasfire and an alliance against Romans. This would free up my solders there alowing me to attack the Romans from the east and west and allow me to move my capitial closer to Egypt were most of the riots are happening in the east. Do you think I should do it?

Take Greece to get your economy going and also nab the Colossus. The amount of sea trade you'll be getting with your empire spread like that will be awesome.

I already taken the Collosuse. I don't think it helped that much. I need to reduce the size of my army, I think. But I can't do that because of all the riots and the war with Rome in Greece and Sicilly.

I think a better idea is to let settlements rebel and exterminate them when you conquer them back. exterminating gives you loads of money and it will shut the rebels up for a while.

Endgame rtw is a real balancing act you have to finish the campaign fast since your entire empire is teetering on the edge of rebellion most of the time.

Pleas help I am desprite. Spain and Britian has turn down my offer for peace by offering my Spanish lands and I don't know how I'm going to deafet the Romans when I am still fighting in Turkey as well and having riots in Egypt, and Carthage settlemeants. I don't know what else I can do.

What are your garrisons like? They should be entirely composed of Peasants. If you really need to, make a dash across the sea from Asia Minor and grab Corinth. You will get a happiness bonus for the wonder there (starts at 20% and goes down 5% a turn). Other than that, ensure that you have happiness buildings built in the settlements that need it. Also make sure your garrisons are not unneccesarily big - disband all units that are in excess of the 80% happiness limit allowed by garrisons. If that fails, que up as many peasants as you can afford in the settlements with problems. The population required for them gets taken away when you do this even though it'll take many turns to produce them all. If you've got buildings of another culture upgrade them where you can because this will turn them into your culture and you wont be hit with a happiness penalty. You can destroy buildings and rebuild them in your own culture if you like, but this is very costly and in my mind not particularly efficient.

Maybe you should close off a front if your resources are getting stetched too thin. It's easy to defend in RTW so you could stop expanding east and leave some strong units in the garrisons there and ship your other guys to Greece/Sicily. A good move against the Romans when you're trying to take Sicily is to send a stack onto the mainland and beseige one of their southern cities, probably Croton if the garrison is light. This should prevent them from reinforcing Sicily and allow you to take it over fully before transferring those armies onto the mainland to help out there.

As for peace, don't give anything for it. The AI is not built for diplomacy and will attack you anyway. Hope this helps. What year are you up to?

churn out peasants put them in the enemy teritory and disband them, it works for me but remember to put up a lond cue of peasants

Your advise seems to have worked, I may be able to turn this war around. I even captured my first Itialan city and I have chassed the Romens out of Athens and centrol Greece and I will soon be taking Spartar. But I did lose Carthage to rebless but I think I can use that to my advantage. I can just attack it again and loot the place for quick cash and slaves.

Take the Golden Statue of Zeus it will solve your public order problems
