Crash at Startup

I cant even start the game anymore. Redownloaded the game 3 times. I keep getting MDMP files in my Empire folder, anyone have any idea. I have a virgin copy im guessing of the game DL

Yea I got the same problem and i got rid of all my mods I had. Any ideas?

Mine also Crashes at startup, after the first screen it goes to a "Microsoft Windows, Empires Total War has stopped working."

Go here:

(C:/)Documents and Settings/(username)/Application Data/The Creative Assembly/ETW/scripts. for XP
(C:/)Users/(username)/Documents/App Data/Roaming/The Creaative Assembly/ETW/scripts. for Vista


and delete everything except the "preferences.empire_script.txt" file

It should work after that.

there are no other scripts in mine except that one i am not supposed to delete, and it still crashes. what do i do?
