Anyone noticed that the Americans are trying to take over the subject again?
I, for one, am German and sometimes just love picking on the
cheese eating surrender monkeys French. You know, everything from an insufficient hygiene, eating vermin and speaking a language that sounds dirty and gay no matter what you are saying.
Or beating them in Total War games.
But I don't really mean it. It's just a source of cheap joy, and I claim it's the same for the vast majority of the people you can hear voicing these phrases. I know that you can't generalize a people, especially not on well-known stereotypes. A typical French person fits description above as much as I am a lederhosen- and pickelhaube wearing, pretzel and bratwurst eating, Jew bashing beer brewer with an inferiority complex and world ruler fantasies (this list could be continued...).
I'm only using the French as an outstanding example. There is absolutely no reason to dislike or even hate someone because he/she is a member of a certain people or was born in a certain place. I hereby clearly pledge for a united Europe and a united world free all these bad words ending on -ism you could bring up here.
Though, I certainly won't stop teasing the French or whatever ethnic I feel like.

In my case, it's humor, not hate.
