    Default Fighting Around Historical Landmarks

I saw in a screenshots of one of Napoleon's generals looking upon a battle raging around a large building that resembles St. Basil's Cathedral. So this made me think, "Will we be able, on the battles generated by the campaign map, fight around famous buildings?"
Of course, one person in the thread where I found it said that the Cathedral wasn't built yet and it was just a generic Orthodox Church. I thought Ivan the Terrible had it built to be a unique landmark of Russia then after construction he blinded the architects so they couldn't build anything else like it for another country.

First and foremost, that is probably not an ingame pic, rather it is probably a vid. Remember, CA used gameplay graphics to create the vids.

If it is gameplay, that could just be an 'exagerated' local church.

That's what most Orthodox churches look like

Dammit HellFell! I can't rep you twice in a row!

Thank you for correcting that blatant piece of...I'm not even sure it was stereotyping. Just trolling, perhaps.

I'd like to see fighting around landmarks, but I suspect that the church seen above is named "GENERIC_ORTHODOX_MODEL_1" in the NTW models roster. It'll probably appear in every town from Warsaw eastwards as a non-garrisonable building.

(Yes, I know Poland is Catholic.)

I wonder if the pyramids will make the cut. They're almost certainly in the historical battle, at least.

i remember well seeing the Sphinx. wouldn't wonder if the Pyramids make the cut.

i know that sounds a bit ehh..nasty, but putting holes in the Pyramid with my artillery is just....:drooling:

Hopefully there's a mission in World in Conflict 2 set in Egypt so you can nuke the pyramids

I imagine it'll be just like ETW, lots of cool stuff promised by their screenshots that won't pan out in the release version.
