Can't seem to get a constitutional monarchy in prussia, i raise taxes of the nobility to super high, i get a civil war.
Then it says Revolution succeeds (i side with rebels), and it stays as absolute

and now i'm a republic pff :p
You need to make the middle classes revolt in a repub to get constitution monarchy.
Absolute Monarchy -> Republic - Revolt Lower Classes
Republic -> Constitutional Monarchy - Revolt Middle Classes
u cant go straight from Absolute to Constitutional Monarchy
Well if that ain't a load of bull. That is precisely how it happened for England and many other countries... has anyone ever had it happen where it goes to Constitutional from Absolute, or is it written in the painfully small game manuscrpt somewhere that this is impossible?

I hardly consider England a republic under Cromwell, in fact it really still was an absolute 'republic'. The bloodless revolution in 1788 was a straight shot from Absolutist to Constitutional.
I do remember at the beginning screen seeing something that 'ship designs courtesy of the british maritime archives' so maybe the ships are visually historically accurate. Either way i think i read somewhere that it is not possible to go from Absolute Monarchy to Constitutional Monarchy.
The real challenge would be to play as the Dutch or Venice and go from a Republic to a Absolute Monarchy... That would be an achievement!
