Buy Empire or wait for Napoleon?

I still haven't gotten Empire because I've heard it had a lot of bugs. Have they been fixed yet? Should I just wait a bit longer and get the new game instead?

Wait for Napoleon. By all accounts it will be much improved from Empire in all respects. It is cheaper. Better campaign mechanics like attrition. Huge campaign map. Improved diplomacy. Smarter, more decisive BAI. The only downside I see of getting Napoleon instead of Empire is the reduced campaign scope. You will be unable to establish colonies in the Americas or India, and this was the aspect that I most enjoyed about Empire.

Empire is now 1.5 and is playeble but if i was you i should wait for Napoleon. its almost the 26 of feb.!

If I were you, i`d put the pressure on CA\SEGA and buy neither. They announced a patch for ETW, problem is, we don`t know how long it will take or the true substance of it, so after we see what that does maybe you could decide.

Well for my opinion :
If you want 1 of them wait untill +- 01 march .
At that time there will be plenty of forum posts regarding NTW (Good and bad)
Remember it stays your choise .
I have etw an bought NTW because i like Totalwar games and hope that my pc doesn't CTD that more with NTW.

Empire is 10,19 euros on steam and i think it's worth that price

wait... watch STEAM... and i bet they will have a deal where you get both for a reduced price in the near future...

or just buy NTW and wait for ETW to be on sale!

If you love the 18th century with all its conflicts Buy Empires,and if you love the Napoleontic era buy NTW as well!
From a military History addicts point of view buy them both,regardless of any flaws!
Imo,You do have to Mod Empires to get a satisfying and immersive experience!

I'd also wait until a week or so after NTW is released (so early March), then read the reviews that people on this forum post (i expect there to be a fair few of them), and then make a decision based on those. It boils down to your patience really, but as you havent picked up ETW yet, i'd definately say to hold off for a few more weeks.

1 Buy both
2 become very resentful of a certain games company
3 rant about them on this site

If you like TW games- go for it. Not sure where you're from, but its £6.79 on steam at the moment... you can't really go wrong at that price.

I would buy empire just because im more interested in that time rather than napoleon etc with fancy cloths and hats.

Get Empire this week in Steam sales where it is 66% of, then get NTW. Or just get NTW.

I'd buy Empire first. Empire is a whole new time period (18th century warfare) and has many features omitted in Napoleon (like trade or three continents.) ETW's 1.5 version is pretty good, plus if you get the DLC (both are great, but the American Rev. one is fantastic. I'd wait for NTW to be patched, reviewed and go down in price. I still predict that NTW is going to be better than NTW, but ETW is worth getting.

NTW will be a much more polished game, with features that add to immersion. ETW was good, but NTW will be much, much better according to some of the first reviews that are just coming out.

If you do not have Empire now is the time to buy, you can get it for $10 from steam if you buy it before the 15th. After the 15th it will go back to 29.99 and it will give you sometime to play until NTW comes out.

Buy ETW in 15 February and then in 26 buy NTW! Why don't buy both?

Id wait, but still theres a big sale on at the moment on total war games on steam so maybe get it and play it some other time.
