    Default Starting Sythia

    Salvete!

So I downloaded the mod and did everything right but messed something up after I got it working. It's not easy being a noob . Anyway I'll get to that in a sec. My first impression is wow. Some of the things I noticed was how well the water looks. Also Greece's terrian is amazing and much improved. I started a campaign as Sythia. Here are a few things I noticed so far, not sure if it's been mentioned yet

    - Seems like all javeline skirmishers have the bow icon; Thurohpio sp? for example
    - The music on the campaign map stops playing, maybe just one song after the turn ends. I definately remember hearing nothing for an extended amount of time
    - Sythian light cavalry have a wierd shadow on their shield arm

Now for the noob part. Nnm I fixed it I'll have screens by tommorow

    Valete!

Hmmmm, not sure why that is TBH.

Thanks for reminding me - something that needs fixing.

I don't know, Tone, if this can be fixed. I believe it comes from the formations file and the position of the unit.

I'm playing my campaign on H/H on Rome.exe. So far I haven't come across a whole lot to complain about, but there are a few things on my mind.

    - population growth seems a bit too much. I think over 2/3 of my cities are huge (557 AUC).

    - coastline is very rigid as I'm sure its been discussed quite a bit. The water and terrain are simply beatiful and the coastline detracts from this immensely. I've heard you guys say many times that you have been working on this mod for such a long time because you want it complete; something close to a finished product. I know that time is an issue and there will always be something to work on, but in my opinion this is something that should definately be improved upon before released.

    - I'm also curious about the armored elephant. I think this would be an excellent unit to redo if not done so already, especially after seeing the Roman Cataphracts

    - I've just started a war against the Sarmatians. It hasn't been easy and so far I've run into some pretty elite stacks, both of which have sieged my eastern most city

I was just able to hold on

    Not this time

Now I realize this is an elite stack chalk full of elite units, but I think the cavalry is overpowered in melee. Less than a third of the army were cataphracts yet they were not only able to push my forces back, but grind through them in close combat. The majority of my army was comprised of heavy spear armed infantry and was facing off against cavalry (supposed to be their specialty), could not defeat even the Orsi Nobles whose horses have no armor.

I'd like to get some more opinions on this

But don't forget that the sarmatians are "fully" cavalry nation,so their cavalries should be one of the best.
