New name for Spartan faction?

This is just an idea.
Since Sparta's armies start to regain land that they lost over the year's.
And once they take all of lower Greece.
They would have to start some type of league wouldn't they?
Athens, and Corinth and Argos would soon fall into this new organization.
Spartans would only be a small part of the whole.
Could the region where their from be more feasible?
Spartan units would still be called Spartan.
But the icon button instead of Sparta could be what?
Lacedonia?

No because theoretically if the Spartans actually did go off and conquer other territories, you would assume they would take the position they did with the Messenians, ie strip them of their rights and turn them into nothing but subordinates with no power. The Spartans would still simply refer to this territoy as Spartan territory. Thats my hypothetical opinion anyways.

I believe your right.
Sparta would rule with an iron fist.
And from that info. The Messenians did have to submit to Spartan politics. They would build their Mora's everywhere they could go, after turning the populace into helots.
I still wonder if Sparta survived and would gain respect in the later Greek world, how they would handle that power.
What decisions they would choose to keep that Empire in success.

And I think that having any faction with "League" or "Confederation" or such in its name it a cop-out.
