Ok, if you miss the description for your DLC, like in the pic below, here is what worked out fine for me. For non-english version it also liberate you from these cruel english/german mixes.
My missing description was caused by a remain of the DarthMod and some remains of the first Lordz mappack.
Note: This is kind of noobish fix, but its easy and it works. Its just about to restore the vanilla version. If you have more patients and you dont want to miss your beloved mods, have a look here: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=331099
If you want to have the description on the DLC Units follow step 1 and 2:
1. Check your vanilla files! You will find them here:
c:/programme/steam/steamapps/common/empire total war/data
There are a lot of files- you have to check them. This is the list of vanilla file you should find there- if you find more than this, just delete it.
Edit I: Or put them into a new folder on your desktop! (Not sure, if that will be working- feedback required)
My filenames differs maybe a bit, cause i have a german version, dont mind that.
Here we go:
2. Vanilla files & folders inside data folder:
campaign_maps (folder)
campaigns (folder)
ui (folder)
all_scripted.lua
anim.pack
battle_scripted.lua
battlepresets.pack
battleterrain.pack
boot.pack
groupformations.pack
language.txt
local_ge.pack
main.pack
models.pack
movies.pack
patch.pack
patch2.pack
patch3.pack
patch4.pack
patch_ge.pack
seasurfaces.pack
sound_non_wavefile_data.pack
sounds.pack
sounds_animation_triggers.pack
sounds_campaign.pack
sounds_music.pack
sounds_other.pack
sounds_placeholder.pack
sounds_sfx.pack
subtitles.pack
supertexture.pack
terrain_templates.pack
testdata.pack
ui.pack
ui_movies.pack
voices.pack
If your vanilla data folder looks like this, verify your data on steam (just to get sure), start the game and have fun with the unit descriptions.![]()
