Rome Verses Empire map
this has probarly been said before but heres my view;
I just played Rome again after at least a year and i couldn't stop playing, i can't play a campaign with Empire.
This ain't a criticism, the difference with Rome is that the Map has theat "Epic" feel and really draws you in. I don't think empire does, the music is also far better in Rome.
The problem with Empire's map is that it is probarly to big, and for me abit to colourful.
Just my ten cents.

Yes, it's too colorful and lacks detail but it feels bigger than Empire's European theartre for some reason. In Rome, Asia Minor and Egypt were usually always covered in fog of war for me. It felt that an impossible feat to get a foothold there. It was like its only little world isolated from my expansion activities.

I agree, there was little things that made the RTW map experience special, like markers for major victories. I added to the history of your nation. I felt like I had to win in that area to honor the exploits of my older legions. I really hope they sneak some of that back into ETW in a patch or is included in NTW because its one of those things that really pulls you in and makes you feel like your adding to a nation's history.
