    Default Crazy Impressed

This is by far the best Mod I have ever seen for any Total War game, and I have played them all.

The lengths that everyone involved went to in order to polish this product down to the smallest details is simply astounding. Your efforts are definately appreciated.

I showed this Mod to a friend who already had a copy of MTW2 (without kingdoms) and he went and bought a copy of kingdoms just to play it. We have been in hotseat mode ever since.

    Totally flippin awesome. Thanks again.

And its not even finished yet!

Eriador and OotMM are said to be reworked, but yes even my friends mention that seeing a finished mod of this quality is jaw dropping

If I were to compare TATW with CoW, I would say that CoW has more of a novelty factor, since it has many more cool features such as many different daemons, awesome siege weapons and amazing magic. On the other hand it is very unstable and unbalanced, it has a long way to go yet. As for TATW, it is very clean, stable and balanced, which I love, it has great lore, has better atmosphere and is much easier to install. The units in both mods are awesome, but in CoW, they ported a lot of things from Warhammer games. I think that reskinning each factions siege weapons (and perhaps giving them different features) is the next big step for TATW. Currently, Isengard Ballistae, Dwarven Ballistae etc all look the same. (Only Mordor's equipment is at all different, with the trolls). If we had long black ballistae for Isengard like in the two towers, or dwarven catapults like those from BFME2, TATW would be so much more awesome.

It's Call of Warhammer. A dark fantasy mod based on Game Workshop's "Warhammer" universe. Check my sig for more details

As for comparing CoW to TATW, that's like comparing apples to oranges. They're both good and they both make people happy.

In the town I live, there's a store that sells this mod for 10 Euro, leading people to believe that this is an expansion.

Personal feelings about this con aside, people think that something of such great quality is indeed an expansion and not just a fan-made mod.

    Burn those heretics!!!
And it's illegal also (as long as I know)... that act is something... disgusting. Hope the mod developers realise your post and will contact this store.

Problem is they don't actually sell it as an expansion. When I confronted them it was like "Hey, we're not selling the mod as a product. We charge 10 Euros for downloading the mod and putting it on a DVD with a nice sticker. We charge it 10 Euros for those people that don't want to spend hours downloading." etc etc.

As for finding them... well, they're in Crete, in Greece. The shop's name doesn't even appear in the phonebook.

The point I want to make is that this mod is so professional and bug-free that it is as good as a professional expansion by itself.

Basically I donīt believe you as I usually do unless I have a proof.
Though in case it would be true it is very sad from multiple perspectives, once they are making money by other peoples work without conformatiy, secondly, not to speak of them it could even bring this Mod in serious troubles.
I hope the next earthquake sinks that island.

Being from Athens, I confirm that there are some small PC game stores in Greece that download games and sell them illegally. Although I never thought they did that with mods too.

I hope the next earthquake sinks that island.
    Now that's a bit harsh.

It could be useful if you would want to install the game again somewhere in the future.

Yeah it was easy to install but i would have paid 5 quid not to have had to download for 6 and a half hours going over the download limit my dad getting rlly rlly rlly angry [and costing me 5 quid a month for a year so that ill realise what money is worth, which is pointless as i know that a fiver is worth approximatley 500 pennies]

Ask any other Greek if they think this possible.

They don't know and I don't think they would believe that. They see it like making money and also making people happy. Not as conning people. Also piracy and such things aren't really prosecuted where I live, so they won't think the people making this mod would ever face problems. They would laugh in my face if I told them.

Wow there! An earthquake to sink Crete just because some small time business makes money out of this mod?

I don't know how much a quid is worth, BUT:
A friend of mine has a similar problem. He has a download limit of about 25-30 GBs per month (he uses his cellphone for internet) etc, coupled with low download speed.
So... I keep the mod's zip files in my computer.
When he gets Kingdoms, I'll get them in a USB stick and give them to him to install, without charging him 10 Euros. Or even 1 Euro.

The shop could do just the same. And give the mod out in a DVD as a gift to everyone that bought Kingdoms for free. It would help them make people happy and make the shop (and kingdoms) far, far more popular earning them money.
