I dont know if this is a known bug or what, but I canīt repair my "city walls". Once they are damaged, there is no way how to fix it. Or is there a way?

Yes. This sucks, along with other obvious bugs that everyone can see (like the tech tree mess up)
I think it's actually easier to defend fort with one hole on it than fully intact one, because AI is even more stupid when there is that one whole. You just need 3 infantry unit and one cannon with canister shot and no matter what size of AI army comes they just march to death![]()

i've often wondered about this, you can reaserch alot of things all build ships capable of sailing the world but you cant lay some bricks?
i have a question, do your walls get repaired if you upgrade them? or will that hole from turn 10 still be there when i win 100 years later or whenever?

P.S. Would you please point out if I make any grammatical or spelling errors? It would be very much appreciated. I will rep+ you if you can also explain the error to me.
oh ok that makes complet sense. No wait....![]()

or let the enemy take it and you retake the city.
Once again, I ask. How hard can it be just to allow the Player (and AI) the ability to fix walls? They just announced they can fix BAI a bit, so how is it that repairable Fort walls which must be easier, can`t be done?
It`s that do as little as possible to try and boost NTW sales again.
BS.
im astounded that this bug hasnt been fixed yet!!!!
I've never noticed this.Darthmod has a fort mod attached so I don' t know if that affects this. Playing Marathas atm,British,Dutch,Portuguese have all blown massive holes in my forts but they're repaired a few turns later when somebody else attacks.
Agree with Santeri on this one, its way easier to defend with one or two holes already there, as long as you have some artillery, set it up facing the hole, the enemy just 'blob' their inf and charge at the gap. Had an organ gun go up 2 chevrons in one battle when 1000 Russian line inf tried simultaneously going though one small hole opposite it... messy...
Anyway agree that practically this should have been fixed by now, surely it cant be that hard?
If the stories are true that only ONE volunteer is trying to fix the BAI, then that goes a long way to explaining why NOTHING else is being looked at, even the little stuff.
I'm playing a large campaign with Britain, and I'm engaged in some serious fighting with the Maratha Confederacy (once they even attacked me with a complete force of 15000 men in one battle!), and it's really annoying that you can't repair forts because they really help. Having one hole in the wall is ok, but when you have like 10 it can be frustrating, because the AI has the tendency to go straight for the center, giving you a time limit to expel them, or else lose.
Is this happening on the following turn or is the fort still unrepaired some turns later ?I have to say I've never noticed this problem. My stone forts are automatically repaired before another battle.
Sadly the AI is so bad it doesn't matter how many holes are in my walls. I just let the ai run madly to the flag where they are gunned down by my artillery and infantry, its like an execution...pathetic
