    Default Scorpions

I think the Scorpions are the best artillery fire for the infantries compares to the archers. But I dont know how to position them. If I put them at front, they will be vulnerable for the enemy attack, but if I put them at rear, they may take down my troops as well as the enemies.

Do you guys have any ideas how to do it?

Put them in the gaps between units in your front lines. Then when the enemy gets close, march your front line forward a bit and move troops in your second line in front of your artillery. This works great with the Romans if you're using manipular tactics.

Put them next to the troops and ask them to play "Wind of Change" or "Rock You Like A Huracane". Always gets the moral up for the men!!

    Sorry! Could not help myself.

    + rep IMMEDIATELY!!!!!

You may also put them on the extreme wings and let them "weapons free".
Enemy will naturally charge them (unless they're totally stupid) and that's exactly what you need. You simply use your cavalry to destroy any enemy troops advancing towards the scorpions (it shouldn't be a problem since you'll have an excellent chance to attack them in the rear).

OR you can do what Kallides proposed
