Default Game does not recognize the battle has been won

I'm currently being attacked by a joint Poland-Lithuania and Austrian force. I just spent an hour and a half beating them back and miraculously winning despite a pretty low force ratio. I get ready to exit when I rout the last enemy unit (as I have no more cavalry to run them down with) and BOOM... no "you have won" menu pops up. I wait until every enemy unit has left the field and there is nothing but my units left on the game map... nothing. So then, I do the only thing I can do and quit. DECISIVE DEFEAT it says.

I'm about to redo the battle, but if it does this again then I'm just going to have to leave the game alone until someone can tell me how to keep this from happening. Has this happened to anyone else? Did redoing the battle help?

Alright, just did it again and the same thing happened. I noticed that at the end of the battle there's still some red on the balance of forces meter, so I scoured the entire map for enemies just in case to no avail. I even garrisoned my troops in all the buildings just to make sure there were no enemies hiding inside that weren't showing on my map for some reason and nothing. My only conclusion is that the game thinks there are some units present that aren't.

    Can anyone help me?

I've just thought of something. One of the armies comes into the map right behind me unit by unit, so I surround their entry area and blast them as soon as they set foot inside the map until they're all gone. Could it be that one of the unit's departures, in all the confusion, is missed, and the game doesn't recognize that they've fled? I think this might be an explanation as to why this is happening, as at the end of the map it seems to still think there are enemies present.

    [edit2]
Ok, I found a post on the Steam forums that described the problem I'm having and attributes it to having two armies attacking you at once:
"When fighting two separate armies, if both armies are routed, the battle continues and will not end until I use the quit battle option, which then registers as a close defeat. If both of the enemy generals/commanders are killed the game crashes to desktop as soon as the second general dies."

Isn't there an auto-win cheat that let's you skip the battle altogether?
