So here's the situation. I'm defending Jerusalem against a Jihad from the Turks, who apparently have brought 3 armies. Only the main army technically sieges the city, while the other two are in proximity of the city. The thing is, these two armies only have one general respectively.
When I actually have to fight the siege battle, I manage to destroy all of the main army's siege engines and kill most of their infantry who climbed on the walls. Then, I see the two generals from the other Jihad armies participating in the battle. So I decide to sally out with my two squadrons of knights and attack one of those generals.
I managed to kill the general and then the remaining. bodyguard display the sign that they are routing. The problem is that they are still fighting and killing my knights. Note that their banners weren't blinking red (the sign that they are fighting to the death). Seeing that my knights weren't winning, I retreated them to the city, where the "routing" bodyguard gave chase.
After they reached the walls and couldn't pursue, the bodyguard finally began to rout of the battlefield. Anyone had this phenomenon before?
