so its been a while since Ireland has had a good comedy produced here, I don't really think this is any better. Tell me what you think.

I watched a little of it after Flash Forward and its utter crap in my opinion. That and Fat-hryn Lynch show just how bad Irish comedy is......

I am Anglo Irish ( or at least irish protestant although I have more Irish catholic in me than protestant, i don't care, i am neither, i am irish) and I am as Irish as anyone else. I do not identify myself as a Brit nor would i even think of it. My protestant friends are some of the most nationalist and proud irish people I know of. The majority of English people I know who have grown up in Ireland because their parents moved here even consider themselves as Irish bar one. They went to Oxford and Exeter and still consider themselves Irish and missed Ireland.
Dara is good, don't get me wrong, but Dylan Moran is brilliant. He is original, he is one of the most naturally funny comedians in Britain and Ireland if not the most.
And in response to your accusation that I do not know my own history, I know more than the majority of people. I have studied emancipation and the land question for the last 5 years.

Good for them, but I like to buck the trend.

For animals, the entire universe has been neatly divided into things to
(a) mate with, (b) eat, (c) run away from, and (d) rocks.
Yes.Personally I think Dara O'Briain is the saviour of Irish comedy.
