    Default Medieval Persian art?

Hey all, I'm considering writing a paper on Persian depictions of the Mongols, or perhaps just Medieval Persian art.

I was wondering if any of you knew of good places to start - websites, books, articles, anything. I have some leads but I hope people among the user of this forum know more

    Cheers

    Hey wudang! Hope all's well.

Ach, I spoke with my advisor and it seems my paper needs to focus on Western history. All the better, perhaps - my Arabic is poor and trying to decipher Farsi or any other language...

This can be closed if you want..back to studies!

I would recommend some Russian sources which are usually very accurate but you probably would not understand the language. There are three books written by Vladimir Yan: "Genghis Khan", "Batiy", "To the last Sea". These books are a treasure! You can find them in translation. They are a historical novels based on real facts and information that was preserved by the people of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, ext. Also look for the book called "Fires above the Kurgans". It is a great work by Yan about the invasion of Scythia by Darius the III (the number maybe different) If you manage to find any of those 4 books I mentioned, then you will have a top quality information about Persians, Mongols, people they fought and much more useful and colorful information.
    Best regards!
