    Default Mod Interests.

Just a quick poll to see what mod would interest people the most. No one seems to like my Guild Wars mod. I would like to have more or less a team. It is truly challenging to make a one man mod.

Sorry if you think I am not dedicated. As I said the GW idea has sparked 0 interest. I have had the idea published for a month or two. It is obvious that no one is interested. If I get AT LEAST 1 scripter, 1 2D ADVANCED ( units/buildings cards ), 1 3D artist, and 1 mapper ( I can do maps but have small probs )

Just continue with the mod you have started. It'll gain interest when you have a decent amount of work to show. You can't expect modders to help you if there's little progress done by yourself... They won't.

nice thought in theory in reality seldom is that the case
the average player who does not mod is really interested only in what everyone else`s idea of creativity is and what is the popular "hot" Idea for mods and not yours, mine and most others who start projects here and those who already mod have thier own ideas and are busy persuing them!
Do not get me wrong! yes interest and support does grow! as you produce work
but that is only with a few enlightened and expirienced modders or long members of TWC nothing dramatic, but then again I am speaking from my own expirience interest could grow tremendously
Recently a mod team was recruiting and I did not say "I would join" simply that "I could" now for me to actually join they would hopefully have the Tact to make offerrings of atleast minor work for my mod. well it has been several days and no offers from them. I will not join this mod because it is obvious they have no consideration my modding goals or me, I am just another member for thier goals to them!
you know they say "want it done right do it yourself" in modding this is very much the case but on the otherhand I have gotten major support from other modders Such as Vikingr himself! but this can and will be only so much as they have thier own wonderful projects
who am I to say you cannot get a team together
all I am saying my Progress and my mod have not drawn significant attention. So understand I am speaking only from my expirience
    good luck!

I understand, problem is most people are more or less into a preview with units. I cannot make models though. But other than that, it appears that I must finish the world I have started now. Curse those errors!!

Thanks for the explanation. I have just made the map_heights.tga file. So much sweat and hard word. GIMP is a pain in the butt. Take my word, use Microsoft Paint Bucket. Much, much, much easier and less errors. Now to go on to the other parts.
