    Default Steam Install

Hiya, ive noticed you guys dont have steam install instructions.

So i was just going to post em here for the future steam players who want to enjoy this wonderful mod. Feel free to include them in your installation post.

    1. Follow Install instructions

"Download and installer unification instructions for FTP users: (Skip this part if you downloaded the torrent)
    - Download both parts of DLV 6.0 to the same folder
    - Unify the parts to make DLV_60.exe, by opening Part 001 and deciding where to store the unified DLV_60.exe.
Important: Because of the filesize it may take several minutes to complete."

    2. Instead of installing strait to your main MTW2 folder you need install them to the mods folder, install everyone to the folder that is made in the mod folder.

    3. Rename that folder with one of the 4 kingsdom folders.
    Ex.
    DVT_ext rename to Crusades
    Crusades rename to DVT_ext

    After that it should work.

Have fun with this great mod! this works with just about any mod and steam as well, so its not just for this mod.

Thank you for posting how to install with stream - thank you for your time letting every one on the DLV board know. May be a terrific time saver for some folk. Cheers.

Now, while on the subject of 'steam' I'll vent steam through my spleen in a thoroughly healthy manner... (Pause... then deep intake of breath) I ****ing HATE steam (or scream as it should be called). Twice now I've bought games using their ****ing shite register/code system and couldn't play because some ****er had stolen the pass data already. I will NEVER buy any product with their shite so angry did it make me.

    Bunch of useless ****s.

That sound abit easier then people first made it out to be back in the good ol' days, http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=265956 .

The Elders have taken notice of you 68 Powers.
Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

Good job on the guide, +rep

I love Steam, and Tokus need to take another toke and chill the eff out

Seriously I'm really glad I didn't get M2TW on Steam because of all the problems with mods, but that's hardly Steams fault, more like CA not giving a crap. And I love not having to pop in a CD every bloody time I want to play a game, or follow to see when they put out new patches and download them through spammy sites. Steam's all good (for most games anyway).

    Just my personal opinion.

The Danes, I swear, with their half arsed attempts at a 'war'. You gotta give it to 'em, they just dont stop trying. Listen, I've fought the Timurids, ever heard of them? Elephants with cannons on their backs. Yea, Timurids. You guys are like kids on tricycles compared to them. -REZ

I never had troubles with Steam and Total War mods.

But hey, like Shadrach said, "Take a toke.." I'm not gonna say chill the eff out because I don't want to offend you lol.

Although, I have trouble with some games at times, but they usually get fixed after acouple of months of my steamroller killing my brain.

Oh, and I love the mod!

Personally I got over hating steam about a month or 2 after it came out. But I haven't forgotten life before steam, buying games in boxes, etc. and I still don't see any advantage at all for the consumer. Except maybe the really stupid consumer, who can't even find the patch for their game without mummy to hold their hand...
