The reason that I saw the add for beta testing is that I was down loading 1.6 to my new computer. So I guess I would not be the most qualified tester per say but I do, however, have the time to play. I also have a passion for Roman history in particular.
My empire is embarrassingly small but I should have a decent one to show weeks end(Wednesday night probable though, sleep might have to take a back seat). Sadly new rig means no old saves but I must say that the battle for Sicily is ragging.
Just got the 10th and 7th and they are on their way to fight off Gaul. I will post another with an updated map tomorrow if you would like. It has been a good start. I've only been defeated really bad once but I was able to bounce back quickly.
Update:
Although still small, I am slowly but surely growing. I am constantly fighting Gaul but for I am rich enough to keep my only two Legions(10th and 7th clavdia) in fighting shape. Part of the Sicily is rebelling and I have battled small uprising in the past but as of now they have a foothold and I cant really afford to dispatch one of my Legions to take care of them. I'm trying to build up my towns so that I am allowed more true Legions. I'm having a blast and I must say that the environment that you and the team have created(esp battle wise) is fantastic. So I have saved up cash and waited for some of my cities to grow. I've battled for every inch of ground.
