This is the Palestrina mosaic, depicting late Hellenistic soldiers (some say they are Romans). This is some of the best depiction of late Hellenistic troops we have, but wasn't used as much because of the opinion of its being Roman. Certain parts of it, can and should be used
The best way to go for the Bosporans would be to use the trumpeters' thorax. From a reconstruction of an archaeological find in
Bulgaria. The reason why a Thraikian thorax should be had is that the ruling dynasty in the Bosporan Kingdom was indeed Thraikian. Also, the Bosporan kingdom was nothing more but a glorified gathering of cities, not big enough for more elaborate and awe-inducing thorakes like other Hellenistic kingdoms. Same with Syracuse. I thought their relatively simple thorakes would reflect their "wannabe" status.
It could be leather, but I am thinking it could as well have been linothorax underneath with a layer of scales on top.
This helmet, painted white much like the one in philistrina.

And an emblem like this for the Bosporan kingdom's shield,

Whereas for the Syracusans, here it is,
for the helmet, an Attic with twirls,
coloration for the crest
and as for the thorax, an etruscan armor that the Syracusans used as well,
Some inspiration for the coloring of the syracusan helmet,

Shields, Syracuse Here's an emblem, obviously in a round shield.
I would use this for a base,
