    1. You can play as long as you want anyway.
    2. Open export_descr_unit located in your data folder. Search (Ctrl+F) for trolls and then edit their stats to your liking.
I'm not at my computer at the moment so I can't tell you exactly what the lines look like but I think there is an explanation at the beginning of the edu which says exactly what each line stands for. So just follow it and you're on the safe side.

thanks! if i edit the trolls stats will it effect the current campagin?

    EDIT: another mod question,

i like genrals to be with foot units. so i was wondering is there a way to change body guard type just by codeing?

Changes in the edu are savegame-compatible so it works in a running campaign.
If you want to have other bodyguards do the following:
You have to go to the descr_strat.txt (located in mods/Third_Age/data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign) and search for the general you want to change. I have Balin here as an example:
    character Balin, named character, male, age 54, x 295, y 271, portrait Balin ;erebor2
    traits LoyaltyStarter 1 , GoodCommander 1 , ReligionStarter 1 , GoodAttacker 2
    army
    unit Noble Bodyguards exp 1 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
    unit Dwarven Warriors exp 1 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
    unit Dwarven Warriors exp 0 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
Now replace "Noble Bodyguards" with the new unit you want to have for example "Khazad Guard".
You can find out the name of the unit by looking through edu.

Its possible to give yourself more turns to complete your campaign objectives. Just increase the end-date line in descr_strat.txt located in ....\Medieval II Total War\mods\Third_Age\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign.

ok sorry for double post but back to the trolls

i have the file open and im sure its this line i want to edit i just need it explained a bit more

    "stat_health 6, 3"

The 6 is there basic health right? whats the 3 for?

A Question for the bodyguard editing too

    character Balin, named character, male, age 54, x 295, y 271, portrait Balin ;erebor2
    traits LoyaltyStarter 1 , GoodCommander 1 , ReligionStarter 1 , GoodAttacker 2
    army
    unit Noble Bodyguards exp 1 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0

    "unit Dwarven Warriors" exp 1 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
    "unit Dwarven Warriors" exp 0 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0

Whats the Drawven warriors stats there for? if his units are noble bodyguards?

Yes, 6 is the number of hp a unit has. The other number is called "secondary hp". I'm not sure how it works exactly but there's a general agreement that it only affects auto-resolve, you should probably leave it alone.

They need at least 1 bodyguard on very small unit size which would equal to 10 bodyguards on huge. The amount of bodyguards can also change depending on the traits of a general and the amount of battle fought.
