The Last Airbender (2010) (Trailer #3 April 23rd 2010)

Water. Earth. Fire. Air. In the old days, there was peace between the four nations of the world. The Avatar -- Master of all four elements -- kept peace between the the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. Only the Avatar has the ability to Bend (manipulate) all four elements, but one day, he Vanished. Then the Fire Nation attacked, forcing a war on the other three nations for one hundred years. Now, for the good of the world, it's up to 12-year-old Aang (Noah Ringer), the new Avatar, to return peace and balance by putting an end to the war and mastering all four elements. Aang must accept his destiny by stopping the Fire Nation's war and defeating the Fire Lord for good.

It looks really good. The television series was great, so I hope this is adapted well.

Umm...as if Shayamalan hasn't made 3 - or is it 4? - bad movies in a row, now he's making this? It's looks like trash.

I remember watching the old trailer, it was nice to see, but it didnt make much sense with the history of the series. Lets just hope that in the end Aang isnt a freaking ghost or an alien or something of the sorts.

I don't think Shayamalan can up too bad this time (he's simply translating animation into live action) Easy.

Yeah, seeing how M.Night also has the writers from the series working with him I doubt he'll try and pull a stupid twist, the writers wont let him. I am worried about the acting ability of some of the cast though, minus Dev Patel who will surely shine in this movie.

Well, statistics dotn help him much, in my opinion all of his recent movies have been crap, altough I love Avatar (this one, not the giant smurfs), I really think that he wont be able to make it happen. I do have all my hope put in that he will make a decent movie.

Oh, he has the writers from the series, ok, that makes me feeel so much better, thanks for the info Mr. Os.

I LOVED Avatar: The Last Airbender, hopefully this movie won't turn out like the recent Dragon Ball Movie. But so far, this trailer looks decent enough, it hasn't crushed my hopes and dreams yet!

Looking at the trailer I like how the North Water Tribe city has turned out. The part where Aang slides under an enemy you can see in pretty good detail the architecture.

Shyamalan coupled with really bad casting and the producers diregard for the series seems very fishy to me.

This could have been a great asian fantasy epic like Lotr is a great northern european fantasy epic, but I'm afraid it's gonna totally fail.

Yay, I liked watching this cartoon when younger. This movie should be good.

What's the cast? I hope they make some hottie Katara.

They're exapanding the timeline to around 5-6 years in order to allow them to age as this will be a trilogy.

So, in the first movie, they'll be quite young.

Everyone looks ok except Sokka he looks like a ghetto punk. I hope this doesn't turn into another Dragon Ball.

Not to be racist here, but shouldn't Sokka and Katara be played by brown people and Zuko by a white guy
