I say yes. Imagine, if just a few students (sane ones) had handguns, how many school shootings and crimes on campus in general be avioded? However, I believe the person has to be sane of course, and be able to use the handgun well.

They can already do that. What do you think happens with school shootings now? One defensive student or teacher with a gun can easily put an end to any would-be school shooter, however, so I say yes, let us carry guns. Responsible people should have the right to defend themselves.

And I don't think they should be allowed in dorms, since too much drinking and drugs go on. But for commuters and teachers, I think it would be good.

Agreed. In many school shootings, they are over before the police get there! What don't people understand. I guess people here like having 32 dead students then only 3 because someone put a quick end to it.

Back in the day kids would take their guns to school so they could shoot dinner on the way home. No there are just too many messed up kids, and this seems to be a problem that people back in the day simply didn't have. Maybe let a few professors carry, but not students.

How do you tell the sane ones from the crazy ones? A 'sane' student can go crazy when he sees his girlfriend making out with another guy. Anger takes over, bang bang, two people dead. Maybe if specially trained teachers had them, that would be better I think.

Also, if someone really wants to get a gun, they can get one away, like drive to a sporting goods store like Cabelas, have a background check run, put it in a box, then in a corner of your dorm.

With all the crazies and messed up people in collage it would be more of a reason for me to have a gun, specially round those koreans
