Hello Mr. Tone.
As I'm sure you recall, I've posted a pretty controversial thread that's been getting attention over the last few days. In its context there have been alot of complaints that I'm just some loser unwilling to help out, with little or no inkling of how a mod really works, being unreasonable, etc. In light of this, and your mention that you both A. needed help and B. had relaxed the beta-tester qualifications I thought I might as well apply to say I 'did something'. In the past I've thought about applying, but as I've always been more of a lurker than a poster I could never get past the 'evidence of activity' thing. However, I should note that I joined this site several years ago, and am still here posting today - at least that speaks something for continued activity. Let me answer the qualifications posted by Cicero in the beta-tester application thread line by line.
1) I don't exactly have a screenshot of a large empire to give you, since I've reinstalled Roma Surrectum several times, have had a hard drive crash, and other things. Suffice to say that I've gone as far as imitating the Western Roman Empire of the later periods in terms of land-mass and provinces owned, but never much farther. I tend to get bored when I begin to contemplate the vast expanse of Eastern territories where retraining and fresh soldiers are hard to come by.
2) I can keep a secret.
3) I have sufficient technical knowledge - just earlier today I installed the Hoplite submod for RS, but I think that it was for an earlier RS version so the game began to crash. Interpidly, I found the problems via the text messages and fixed them (one case was a typo in the export_descr_units, another was a unit that didn't exist anymore screwing with the descr_buildings. Or was it export_descr_buildings? I dunno, its fixed now so what do I care?) This screenshot will prove that I can both take screenshots, and that I play alot of Rome: Total War mods, and have the know-how to download and play them all without them interfering with one another.

4) Well I can certainly type English well enough.
5) You have evidence of my participation in the forums with the large thread I pointed out at the beginning of the post (or perhaps evidence of why I don't participate as much as I should!) This should assure you of one last thing: That is that I am opinionated, and willing to speak my mind. You won't hear 'RS is the greatest thing ever!' (Well okay, maybe a little) you'll hear what I think is wrong, what I think needs to be changed, and you'll hear it in no uncertain terms. That's a pretty valuable attitude for a Beta tester.
6) Haha. I may not seem that mature right now, but I drive a car and attend college classes and get along well enough with the people around me. Rest assured at least that I'm not a ticking time-bomb waiting to explode in anger. I'm just, as I've said, opinionated and willing to express those opinions - even if unpopular. In my defense, in the thread I've mentioned several times now, I never called anyone an unkind name or reacted venomously against the outpouring of distaste towards the content of my post. I put my thoughts out there, and I'm kindly taking my deserved lumps.
As a closing statement I should say that I won't hold it against you if you deny my application given that I both don't fit the criteria exactly and that I've posted a negative post regarding RS. That said I do think that I could be valuable to the team in my own way and, if that helps the mod along a little more, what do you have to lose?
