Default I gave up to play DLV because of the units..

    Hi everyone,

I downloaded DLV 6.2 and installed properly. I just wanna give a crucial feedback regarding why I gave up to play DLV

I read the detailed pdf manual and after that I started the game. The first turn I surprised and impressed about the new features. Players can adjust a lot of options for more challenging game. The map appereance, individual settings etc. everything was perfect so that a war was commenced!

Even though I set my graphics options to the highest level, I couldn't adopt the new units. Most unit colors were gray based and drawings were a bit amateur style MTW II and Kingdoms units are highly enough to get a taste in battles. There are lots of units in Kingdoms and MTW. Those units were generated by professional designers and why did you replace your own units with them?

I have asked this question directly because I really appreciate your efforts and wanna play this mod. It's better to conflict in either Kingdoms Grand Campaign or Regions and Provinces mods. However their features and game play options are not same as DLV. That's why I will be pleased to play DLV with the original units.

    Thank you.

I'm amazed that someone is asking for us to replace superior work with the stuff CA included in m2tw and kingdoms. If anything what we really need in my opinion is to get rid of those units, or at least textures, that remain.

Perhaps you can give me an example of what you mean, which new units don't you like?

I'm sure that he is talking about Rusichi TW units. They are so ugly I can't stand looking at them

I don't understand you I remember that I was impressed the first time that I have seen the new units, especially the rusichi units(dismounted boyars, berdiche axe!!!) The only textures that I have problems with are those from norway and the teutons, I don't like their heads style.

I have selected Spain and Russia. Their both units behaviour, movement speed, heads, texture etc. quality was dissappointed me

Well, you do have the right to express your opinion; however, I have never heard anyone prefer vanilla textures over DLV ones, not once.

After a looooong break from M2TW and DLV (too long ) I downloaded 6.2 and I am, yet again, amazed at both the quantity and quality of work that has gone into the mod.

Long time no hear btw, Taiji, you've done incredibly well sir.
    Loving your work, kudos!

Spain is vanilla... but you prefer vanilla..

I'm really wondering what you mean now, it doesn't make sense. And as for Russia... that faction has some of the most impressive units in the entire community - and this is a modding community which regularly outdoes CA in every area, including art.

Skielve, hello again and thankyou for the praise, it's good to hear

Please check out BB for the latest version of my efforts, some innovative stuff in there recently. And loads of extra goodies people have given me permission to include. DLV is beginning to look and feel much more polished

With my new card and the extra mem I can finally play DLV at highest settings for the first time ever, and I don't think the units are ugly, but on the other hand, being one of the grandpa's who grew up with pacman and space invaders my standards might be different than yours.

Yeah, when I look back at all the games I've played on the Nintendo... I just feel spoiled now.

Hey kid,to tell you the truth - no one get where you are getting at.

    Spain is exactly like before.
Russia is graphically MUCH better then anything CA has every managed to produce. Also to add, it'is also 100X times more accurate then those pink byzantines, sherwood archers and samiaxemen

Unless you can show what's the diffrence between DLV Spain and M2TW Spain - then I think you are just trolling.

Although Taiji, it might have something to do with Blue oreon shiny clothing.
Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.
