No Snow on Maps

Does anyone know how to mod out the snow maps? I've been trying by editing out certain winter textures from the battle terrian db files. No dice.

Anyone know how to do this? Make winter battles play out on battlefields without snow? Should be easy but I don't quite have the modding skills to acomplish it.

Thanks Germane. So have you guys had any luck with making snow on the ground go away?

Dignan, would you play without snow only in the campaignmap, means the campaignmap-snow-textures - or would you play without snow in the Battlefield? (Rain, Sun, Fog - but no snow)

This is a good question... snow on the ground and snowy weather are not the same. 2nd is possible, 1st only changing the map.
You can force the campaign to play battles without snow in snowy locations in campaign.

I am only talking about the snow on the ground. I don't mind the "snow weather". I also don't mind snow on the campaign map. I'm talking strictly about removing the snow covered ground maps from campaign battles. Not sure if this is possible.

I see. Is this easily done? I just don't like snow covered ground in GC battles. I can deal with actual snow falling but I don't like the snow on the ground. The graphics engine just doesn't make it look as good as grass or dirt.

Yes, it is.
The campaign map have regions, so in Northern regions -for example- you only can see Northern maps, but you can change it for having Dry maps, Mediterranean maps...

These are the tables & values you have to take a look at ( I would do it but I haven't got time, anyway it'is easy):

battle_climate_groupings Climates
battle_climate_weather_descirptions Battles Maps: weather_id_reference
battle_terrain_set_groupings Regions are related with weather
battle_terrain_sets Maps are related with weather
