Can we see units retreating when they have taken severe losses. I had a figure of say 65%. It always appears that a lot of the time in ETW units would continue fighting when it's plainly obvious they had lost!. I'm sure in real conflict the ratio of dead to living was a lot less. I would like to see the enemy legging it from the field of conflict with a lot more troops but getting a very high moral penalty that last several turns.

When calling a retreat you have to provide protection for the retreating soldiers.

If you don't protect the retreat you'll most likely have hostile light cav chasing them down.
When I retreat I leave a couple of units to hold the enemy in place while my men run to safety.

when I retreat I do the same as Greve, though unfortunately when I do this(also counts for the enemy). I usually have like alot of my men left when the battle stops, and than the campaign map comes up again and still many of them died... I actually barely had to do this maybe 2 or 3 times since Empire release.

    That is really annoying...

Like most TW veterans, I have never actually had to retreat on ETW on the campaign map, so sadly I don't know.

But here's hoping the BAI in NTW is better.
