    Hello tone,

i've been silently watching the progress of RS2 and playing your mod (1.5) for quite a while now.

From all mods, dealing with the hellenistic period I've tried (early RTR and following incarnations, EB, Diadochi etc.) I like Roma Surrectum best, because of its display of the rise of rome (I love your legions) and the epicness of its battles.

My enthusiasm for RTW has not chilled in all the years since its release. In fact this is the only TW Game which i kept continiously installed.

I've done minor editing to its text files (export descr unit, buildings etc.).

And I think (or at least hope ) that I'm competent to read and understand error messages.

If you need help with beta testing, i'd be glad to help you and break my silence.

    greetings

    Hello tone,

    Not atm.
I don't take screenshots regularly, because i've got no need for them.
But I could start a new 1.6 campaign and take some if you need proof of my abilities.

    greetings

    Wundwolf
Have asked him to do so.

I started a new campaign with RS 1.6a as Rome on M/M.
At first it took some small steps to stabilize my economy and the loyalty of my provinces. I built a few farming buildings, temples and sewers.

Meanwhile I gathered troops from the middle italian provinces.
My faction leader and his heir led a legion against Phyrrus, who camped with his army in calabria. The fighting was fierce.

Phyrrus and my leader both lost their lives charging the flanks of each others forces. Phyrrus forces overwhelmed mine and routed them.
Already in hades he gained a phyrric victory. My heir and his shamed forces returned to Rome. A few rounds later, I took revenge when a legion took Tarentum.

I took Croton with the aid of my syracusean allies, who originally intended to take the cities for themselves (By naval invasion!).

Later they left, honoring our treaties. Meanwhile I laid siege on Cannae with two freshly recruited legions.

In the following rounds I continued to improve my economy.
Also a lot of cultural buildings were built. Rome is now crowned with a triumphal arch and a magnificent temple to Jupiter was errected.

During this Carthage annihilated Syracuse. Parthia and Armenia advanced into seleucid territory.

Recently I invaded Liguria. During this siege Tarentum grew to a huge city and triggered the imperial reforms. Carthage started to block a few of my southern ports. In a few years roman forces will invade Sicily. The next screenshot shows the current situation:

I hope this helps with your decision.

    He's keen:

    Here some further progress:

It is now 519 auc. My newesr province is still Liguria. 3 Legions have replaced the 3 republican armies. Im still focussing on upgrading my cities.

I've been dealing with numerous carthagian naval invasions and gallic assaults against Genoa.

    http://img514.imageshack.us/i/466aucv.jpg/

I'm planning to recruit annother Legion, so I can counter those threats more effectively. Its to carry the eagles further than ever before.

Meanwhile some powers fell and others have arisen.

Macedonia now controls entire northern greece and the epirote kingdom fell to her.
    http://img148.imageshack.us/i/466auciv.jpg/

Pergamum fell to an rebellion (her only province) and was later conquered by the Seleucid.
    http://img98.imageshack.us/i/466auciii.jpg/

The Parthians have lost their newly gained provinces and were driven back to their homelands.
    http://img188.imageshack.us/i/466aucii.jpg/

Even my ancestors (probably somewhere around Aliso ) were overwhelmed by the gallic fury. They are pressing eastward and ignore their western heartlands.

Ps. the names of the screenshots are misleading.

    So far my campaign.

    Greetings
