Thear is thre empires in Stainless Steel who is the best you like and why?

My favurite is Holy Roman Empire becouse in the campaign start thear is no long time to start the war against italy factions and scandinavian Danes i get my allies the French and the campaign fot HRE is hard.
So whats Empire is your favorite?

I've always looked at my Byzantines as a direct continuation of my Roman empire from XGM and Barbarian Invasion.

Of those three factions; named empires. (Merely named, as we see no difference in game.)
I suppose the Roman empire is the greatest of the three.

I prefer the new Roman Empire. The Reiters are amazing when combined with Imperial Knights and the like. Add a few infantry and archery units and the slaughter will start. Romans are also nice, have a very strong Early roster. I don't know much about Kwarezimans, but I think they are OK

Caliphate sounds much more epicer than empire, so i choose Fatimid Caliphate.

None of those are fun to me. I prefer creating my own empire with smaller start. Seljuk Turks becoming Ottomans are probably the closest I enjoy to an empire faction. Byzantines just seem a let down compared to RTW.

Why ?

Because at school when im walking around i hear a funny german accented man shouting "JA MEIN KAIZER, VE VILL ATTACK !" and other silly random things.

Plus HRE campaigns are cool in that you can essentially lead one of two ways: Play a hitler and declare war on the universe (and probably get pwn't) or play a bismarck and control europe from behind the scenes with secret shady political deals, assasinations, and just general snootyness towards the AI, including random 10,000 florin bribes to the pope to remind him whos his faviourate kaizer is .

Also, gothic knights. Need i say more ?

In high school we never even touched the HRE. Always France, England, etc.

My favorite is the Holy Roman Empire.

They have an awesome unit rooster, reiters, gothic knights, pikemen, good cannons and heavy infantry, basically they have good units throught all the game, and especialy late game. they're all I could wish for and they have a good sence of fashion and an outrageous accent! The only "downside" is they have lots of enemies, most neightboring factions tend to declare war on me, all at the same time, early in the game (depending on difficulty). It's kind of nice with a challenge though. Not just casually conquering the world like in vanilla.

HRE gets pwnd in all off my games. Never played as it, cause I've seen what others do to them. They're being excommunicated, like, right away, crusade on Frankfurt is declared, everyone attacks and boom! No blackness in the middle of Europe.



A little OT: What are the causes of the collapses of factions? I mean, when big country is like boom and it all rebels?
